STRICT CONSTRUCTIONIST:
If it's not in the constitution, you cannot do it.
LOOSE CONSTRUCTIONIST:
If it's not in the constitution, you can do it.
I think this is too harsh. unless its something you obviously cant do then you shouldnt be able to do it.
I like this better because its technically saying you have freedom.

Class work:
“Every power vested in a Government is in its nature sovereign, and includes … a right to employ all the means requisite [necessary], and fairly applicable to the attainment of the ends of such power; and which are not percluded by restrictions & exceptions specified in the constitution.”
Alexander Hamilton, 1791
I think Alexander Hamilton was for loose construction. He is saying that they can do what is needed and because the constitution doesnt say they cant, theyre allowed to.
“To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn around the powers of Congress, is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible of any definition…. The Constitution allows only the means which are “necessary,” not those which are merely “convenient” for effecting the enumerated powers.”
Thomas Jefferson, 1791
I think he was for strict construction because he says the constitution says whatever is 'necessary' not 'convenient' for people.
How can you tell these quotes arent facts?
They both have different views so its not proven making the fact that this is not a fact.
This is an I see/ It means about the whiskey rebellion.
Homework:How is the Whiskey Rebellion both similar and different from what is happening in Egypt?
The Whiskey Rebellion and what is happening in Egypt are two different things but based on the same issue. Although they are similar, the Whiskey Rebellion took place hundreds of years ago while what is happening in Egypt is happening right now. Also, the W.R. was about taxes on whiskey, while Egypts problems are because of conflict with their dictator. But this is where they are similar. The W.R. was because there was something about the government that people did not like and protested against in order to get what they wanted. What is happening in Egypt is similar because they do not like what thier dictator is doing so they are protesting against it just as those in the W.R. did.
